This is the end

Today my review of the comedy This is the end, starring James Franco, Seth Rogen,
A group of Hollywood friends and actors get together for a party and James Franco house and the end of the world is happening, What would actors do during the end of the world.

This movie is different comedy, seeing actors portraying themselves as seeing the world around them falling apart.  At first i didn't think i would like this movie at all, but after watching it, it was funny in some parts and seeing cameos from a wide arrange of actors is the funny part of the movie.
Now if your a very regilous person and have high beliefs, don't watch this movie, It makes fun of the regelion and I'm a christian and i have to look past it, its just a movie.

The movie is very funny with great chemistry with all the actors, I like had they made sequels during the movie and a lot of movie quotes and just seeing what would happen during the end of the world.
James Franco is a tremendous actor and his comedy acting is perfect and Seth is a comedy king, Keep on making this type of movies.
The ending of the movie is epic and having a great cameo is the perfect ending of this movie.

I really did enjoy this movie and i do recommend it to all my followers.
I give it 3 1/2 stars

Grudge Match

Today my movie review is the boxing movie Grudge Match staring Sylvester Stallone and Robert DeNiro

The story starts as to rising boxing legends fought in epic matches during the decades of boxing greats, but things change lessons are learned.

Watching this movie, brought me back to the likes of Rocky and Raging Bull movies, but they are a lot older. I wish they had made this movie 20 years ago, not 2 aging actors doing this movie.

Trust me i like Stallone and Deniro, they are great actors and have a film catalog that is both epic and classic, but to bring these to in a boxing movie, is just plain stupid and dumb.
I did enjoy this movie, but it just seem to me that these aging actors wanted to do this movie because of the money.

Are you tired of Kevin Hart, He is in almost all these comedy movies and says the same thing over and over again and it's kinda boring to me. Your not going to last long in this industry, doing the same stuff over and over again.

Back to the movie, Grudge Match is funny and some way and some drama, but overall a okay movie.
If your a Deniro and Stallone fan, own the movie, but your a movie fan, please don't waste your time on it.
Boxing films are not like they were 20 years ago. everything is going MMA. .
Boxing is a true sport, but please Hollywood if your going to make a boxing movie get better actors to make it.

I give this movie 2 stars.

Robocop 2014

Today my review is the remake of a 80's classic Robocop.

I had my doubts about this movie, why try to make a remake of a classic movie. But with the technology they have today, why not.
The movie still takes place in Detroit, mi and still has the name of the company Omnicorp. I still like that they kept with the original concept of the movie.
But with this new movie, they tell more of the story on how he became the Robocop and how it works.
In the original movie, all they did  was show Murphy get supposedly killed , but with new technology they change him into this robot and he had no emotions at all. and took the law into his hands.

The remake they change almost all of it, but in a better way. I wish they had some of the original actors in the movie, but its OK with me. This movie was very good, surprising good for my standards.
Now in 87 when the first robocop came out it was very violent and rated R, but this one was rated PG-13. That's the only thing i have a problem with this movie. Should have been rated R and be more violent instead of suing taser guns. Used real bullets.

This movie is really good, shock me on how good it is. I don't like when they do remakes, but when they do it right. I'm OK with it.

For my rating, i give it a 3 stars.

The Lego Movie

Today I'm reviewing  the Lego movie.
When i first heard that they were making a Lego movie, i had my doubts about it and i didn't think it would be any good at all.
They were bad movies made out of toys and they have bomb at the box office. for example Battleship,
I didn't think it would be any good at all , but watching the first trailer and i was hook.

So the film starts out like an ordinary movie, a loner looking for happiness and is the true person to save the life of everybody.
This is very different in many ways for movie fans. The story is the same in almost all movies, but whats different is the twist to the ending part of the movie. When they bring in live action and Lego's together.
I love the acting in this movie. Will Ferrell is great and Will Arnet is the prefect Batman the other characters are so, so. I wish that had brought back the Lego's from the 70's . That's what i grew up with.

I do not how they made this movie. How incredible they brought the leg's to life. It looks like to me almost everything is made of Lego's and looks so real.
After watching the movie with my oldest daughter, we got out my old Lego's and starting building stuff form it.

This movie is a treat for all family's and who ever grew up with Lego's should enjoy this movie.
The Lego movie is very good and i give it 3 1/2 stars.

Star Wars VII Please don't show anything until the first trailer comes out!!!

I'm a huge movie fan and i love looking at website to see the newest movies coming out soon. Love watching the movie trailers, posters and sometimes the set visits.

But coming December 15 2015 Star Wars VII is coming out and all i see is possible casting and some set pics and rumors.
I really don't want to see this at all. i want to wait to see that first trailer either at the movie theater or on my laptop.
I know it sounds strange, but I'm kinda old school about this.
I remember hearing about when George Lucas was doing the first 3 Star Wars movie and i was so excited about it, I couldn't wait for it.
They had the books before the movie and i bought it and Vanity Fair issue showing the first set pics from the locating and i still have it and i treasure it very much
But when it comes to movie websites they almost ruin the movie for me and possible other movie goers.
The only movie website i go to is joblo.com and it has everything about movie and the first thing i see a possible picture of ti appears to be a part of the AT&AT, PLEASE don't ruin anything on this movie.
On instagram Star Wars has a account and they show awesome pics of the older movies but yesterday they show a possible set pic and i was mad, but there is nothing i can do.
When the first movie came out, all we had was the first trailer and people were hooked, also the action figures were cool also.
I would like to have that, but with social media taking over almost everything is crazy to not look and see what J.J. Abrams is doing with the movie.

I want this movie to be perfect and i hope it will and i don't want to be ruined by anybody.
So this is just a stance on why i don't want to be bother with the update of this important movie.
I hope movie buffs understand this and wait for the moment when the first trailer of VII comes out and i will be there with millions of millions of Star Wars fans. May the force be with you.

Prisoners 2013

Tonight my review is the movie Prisoners staring Hugh Jackman. This is a story of 2 daughters who are kidnapped and there fathers are on the hunt for them.

The police are called and the detective is stat Jake Gyllenhaal, you don't know nothing about his past, but his character is strange, but good.

The story takes a turn when the so called kidnapper is let go at the jail, the father takes his advantage and wants to take control of him and find his daughter and his daughter friend.

This story has lots of twist and turns, who did what is he really the kidnapper or not. 

I really like that movies either change the way of the story. I am a father of 2 girls and if one of them got kidnapped i probably do the same that Hugh did. Almost any father  would just to find there daughter or son.

I haven't seen a movie like this in a long time, probably since the usual suspects.  The movie was very underrated and lots of my friends told me you need to check this out. So I have and i have to say what a movie, you keep on thinking is this guy the kidnapper or who is really it. 

One more thing, the whistle was that weird or what. 

I give this movie 4 1/2 stars. 

The hunger games catching fire

I have been waiting for this movie for a while and I hope I want be disappointed, well I wasn't.

The movie right after the end of the first movie and i love sequels like that.
This movie is something different that i have ever seen, Jennifer Lawrence is so beautiful and so likable you feel for her in every way.

This movie take you to a journey to another place with almost the same people and new characters that the fans love and hate.
The love the casting of every character in this movie, little girls want to be like Katniss , shooting arrows has come the norm now for women, you would have never seen that before, not in my lifetime.
Lot of the characters are likable like woody harelson and the late Phillip Hoffman,
The movie will make money based on the actors and the people who love it, and boy did they love it. and so did I.

I can't wait for the 2 parter on the movie. I know a lot of people want either. I hope it doesn't disappointment like the twilight series, but i don't think it will.

I really love this movie and i can't wait for the next 2. I give this movie 4 stars.

For the movie fan in all of us

I was reading a chapter of why i love movies on the website joblo.com. This website has everything about movies, TV shows, and movie hotties,
I really love this website, but the reason I'm writing this blog is that why i love movies and why almost everybody in the world loves movies them too.

The reason I'm i love movies is you get to see the star destroyer flying overhead in the beginning of star wars.
I love movies that change your view on things like, love your spirit, your health, your funny bone, your music.

I love movies that can change an entire generation, Movies that define what it means to love everything or hate everything about it. You can go watch a movie and you can decide if it's good or not. Most of the times people thinks that the critics make the movie, but it's the fans of the movies that make or brake the movies.

Look at some movies like titanic, it was a worldwide success, then look at face/off a terrific movie that only made $112 million, but titanic ruled the box office but still people went to see other movies.

I used to work at 2 different movie theaters and the see the different people come and and some great movies or just plan stupid movies. I don't know why they do, but they love the movies know matter what.
Working in a movie theater change the way i watch movie, i used to see if there scratches on it, but everything has gone digital so i can't see that anymore. But working in the movie theater you see your friends, maybe future girlfriends or future friends.
When i was a manager at a movie theater i used to contact the movie company and asked them if they could send more stuff for this movie and they would ask why?
I told them after seeing the movie it wold do great at it and i was always right. and i would get more posters, standees and some times shirt's., the knew in the long run i made them movie and that brought a smile to my face. That's why i love movies. when your in the movie theater, do you look at the people and see what type of people are in there? I do especially teenagers we know what they do in the back of the theater. LOL


Movies can be great for you, the can make you smile, laugh, sad or horny, buts that's movie for you.
I'm going to see a couple of movies soon and i will post my comments about those movies.

I hope you like this little blog i have, I know some of it is out of context, but it stills deals with movies. I know I'm not a great writer , but i know my movies.

Escape Plan

Today my review is the action movie Escape Plan. Starring Sylvester Stallone and Arnold

This movie is about a client who is paid to see the flaws of the prison system and see if he can escape from it and he does each and every time.
But this time he gets a new client and he doesn't know where the prison is or how it is run,
At first he is capture and taking to this prison and looks to see how it is run.
At first everything looks different, but things turn to the worst for him.
That's when he runs into Arnold.

I'm not going into the whole story, but this movie is pretty good. I miss the good ole action movies of the late 80's and early 90's . Some classics movies were made then.

I really enjoy this movie and glad that Rocky and the terminator made another movie together.
I know the critics didn't like it, but its the fans make the movie and there movie. That's another post coming later.

Go rent this movie or buy it for your collection.

Gravity

Tonight my movie review is the movie Gravity starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney.

I kept on hearing and people talking about this movie and the special effects on this is so unreal. Well I had to check it out my self. I love Sci-Fi movies, so here we go.

The movie is about a medical engineer and an astronaut who are working on a satellite, The astronaut is a veteran who has done dozen of space walks and is about to retire and Mrs. Bullock character is not used to this, is only there to fix what she invented and wants it done and back home.

Next thing you know is space debris is coming at them and they have to get back into the shuttle, When the space debris hit the satellite and the shuttle , she is detatch from the shuttle and her crew, George Clooney is trying to find her and all she is doing is drifting into a deep empty space.
When George Clooney finally gets to her, she is safe for now, This is as far as I can go with the story, I don't want to spoil it for you.

This movie is very gripping and in awe of it, you feel like you are there with Sandra Bullock. The images are so unreal . It looks like they really shot this in space, but only in a huge green room.
The amazing thing about this is that there are only 4 actors in this movie, You only see 2, but you here one over the radio and the other astronaut who is Russian.
This story is unlike any sci-fi movie I have seen in a long time, Sandra Bullock is up for major awards for her role in this and she deserve  one.
The only disappointing thing was the ending. I wanted more or it and I guess you have use your imagination .
I give this movie 3 and 1/2 stars
